Just who are the people behind Skinny Dip Candles? The Skinny Dip Candle was created in 2004 by a mother - daughter team who owned a retail store. We initially created the product to sell in our own store, Scents of Decor, located in Austin, TX.  The candle was an immediate runaway hit!  By simply demonstrating the candle in our store and introducing it to customers, we literally sold hundreds of them. Word spread and we started to get inquiries from other retailers. We also got requests from out of the area from people who wanted to know where they could buy Skinny Dip Candles.  This eventually led to the launch of SkinnyDipCandle.com, and we began wholesaling Skinny Dip Candles to retailers as a sideline business. It eventually became very difficult to juggle both our retail store and our growing wholesale business, so we made the decision to focus on our wholesale and website sides of the business.

In the spring of 2008 we made a decision to move our business cross-country so we could rejoin the rest of our family in our hometown of Missoula, Montana. We found a larger production facility and we've added staff as we've grown. But we're still a family business that has a passion for what we do and pride in how we do it. We hand pour each candle and lip balm we make. No mass production by machines or use of so-so ingredients here! We seek out the highest quality ingredients and work diligently to bring our customers exceptional products at affordable prices.
