What is a massage candle?

Simply put, a massage candle is a candle whose wax can be melted and poured onto skin for use as a massage oil or lotion.

Let's delve a little deeper into how this is possible!

Skinny Dip Candles are a soy wax base that we've mixed with other cosmetic butters and oils, such as shea butter and coconut oil. All the ingredients (including the soy wax) are great for your skin, soak in for ultra moisturization, yet remain slick for an extended period of time which is ideal for use in massage.

While soy wax already burns at a lower temperature than your typical candle (usually made of parrafin), it's the added oils and butters that bring the melting temperature of Skinny Dip Candles down to a comfortable 102 degrees Fahrenheit. This means you can pour the wax directly onto your skin after burning, allowing for a warm and comfortable experience.

The melted wax oil can be used anywhere on the body as a massage oil or lotion, including:

  • arms
  • legs
  • feet
  • hands
  • elbows
  • knees
  • cuticles
  • shoulders
  • back

A massage candle is a fun and unique addition to spa offerings, self care baskets and, of course, to the bedroom.
